As June and summer draw near, so does the Motherland: Fort Salem season 2 premiere! Unfortunately, we don’t have an official and full length trailer for the season yet, but a couple teasers have been released so far.
In addition, it’s been announced via Deadline that five more cast members will be joining the sophomore season of Motherland: Fort Salem.
- Victor Webster will be portraying Blanton Silver, vice president of the United States. After his daughter (Barros) finds out she’s a witch, Silver has to come to terms with her newfound witch identity.
- Mellany Barros will play Penelope Silver, Blanton’s only child who accidentally discovers she is a witch. She is described as enthusiastic and passionate, but overwhelmed when it comes to dealing with her new witch responsibilities and military life.
- Praneet Akilla is playing Gregorio, a male witch that had a similar upbringing as Abigail and is of higher statue. However, he has many opinions on how male witches are treated compared to females.
- Ess Hödlmoser is portraying M, a non-binary second year solider at War College. They are incredibly protective of their Unit as well as any witch in their coven.
- And last, Arlen Aguayo is portraying Nicte, someone from Alder’s past who has made her who Alder is now.
Photos of each actor portraying these characters can be found in the gallery below.
Which new character are you most looking forward to seeing? I’m the most curious about Penelope and M so far.
Motherland: Fort Salem premieres on Freeform on June 22nd at 10/9c.
