WATCH: All Six Trailers For ‘Disney’s Launchpad’ First Short Film Collection Are Now Available

All six trailers for Disney’s Launchpad first season are now available. Have you seen them yet? This season will feature a collection of six short films from a new generation of storytellers from underrepresented backgrounds. The theme is “discover” and the collection will make its debut on Disney+ this Friday, May 28th.

AMERICAN EID 

American Eid follows the story of a Pakistani family who recently immigrated to the United States. Ameena, the youngest daughter, goes on a mission to make Eid a public-school holiday after she finds out that she still has to go school during this very special time. Eid marks the end of Ramadan. The short is written and directed by Aqsa Altaf and produced by Leslie Owen and Steak House. It is executive produced by Julie Ann Crommett, Mahin Ibrahim, Alyssa Navarro, Chris Caraballo, Jason Alvidrez, Adam Nusinow, Mary Coleman, Nicole Grindle, and Vanessa Morrison.

DINNER IS SERVED

Dinner Is Served follows the story of a Chinese student who wants to try out to be his elite U.S. boarding school restaurant’s maître d’. However, he’s the first international student to do so. Can he make the cut? The short is directed by Hao Zheng and written by G. Wilson and Hao Zheng. It is produced by Shincy Lu and Steak House and executive produced by Julie Ann Crommett, Mahin Ibrahim, Alyssa Navarro, Chris Caraballo, Jason Alvidrez, Adam Nusinow, Jessica Virtue, and Rachel Yeung.

GROWING FANGS

Val Garcia is a Mexican-American teenager who also happens to be half human/half vampire. Even though she has decided to keep her identity a secret from both worlds, things get complicated when her human best friend shows up at her school of the undead. Growing Fangs is written and directed by Ann Marie Pace. It is produced by Geneva Faye, Melody Sandoval, and Steak House. It is executive produced by Julie Ann Crommett, Mahin Ibrahim, Alyssa Navarro, Chris Caraballo, Jason Alvidrez, Adam Nuisnow, Osnat Shurer, and Halima Hudson.
