WATCH: “Earth At Night In Color” official trailer

Earth at Night in ColorEarth at Night in Color, a new original documentary series will be premiering on Apple TV+ next month with each episode narrated by Tom Hiddleston.

The series will have twelve episodes, the first six of which will be released globally on the platform on December 4. This show is produced by the BAFTA-nominated Offspring Films and executive produced by Alex Williamson and Isla Robertson.

“The night, a shadowy world that hides more than half the animals on our planet,” Hiddleston narrates in the trailer, “Until now, cameras only offered a glimpse into their lives. But with next-generation technology, we can see the night as clear as day.”

The trailer also features the song “Dead of Night” by Ruelle. In the short clip, various wildlife photographers share their insights about capturing the lives of animals in complete darkness or only with the light of the moon and the artificial illumination from their cameras. Various species of wildlife will be included in the series, their nocturnal habits finally documented.

“Using cutting-edge cameras and a revolutionary editing process, Earth At Night In Color presents nature’s previously unseen marvels with striking new clarity. Captured across six continents, from the Arctic Circle to the African grasslands, this pioneering work follows the moonlit lives of animals at night, revealing new insights and never-before-seen behaviors into some of our favorite species’ nocturnal habits. The show will also introduce relatively unknown creatures who are sure to become new icons of the animal kingdom.”
This documentary series looks to be a fascinating exploration of Mother Nature and the wonders that have been heretofore kept from our view by our own human limitations. Hiddleston invites viewers to “discover Earth’s last true wilderness.”

The first six episodes of Earth at Night in Color will premiere on December 4, 2020 on Apple TV+.
