The Witcher season 2 images released

The Witcher season two is in production and Netflix has released some photos that tease the fates of the three main characters.

Six images have been released of Geralt of Rivia, Yennefer of Vengerberg, and Princess Ciri of Cintra, providing some clues on how they continue their journey in the upcoming season of the show.

Geralt (played by Henry Cavill) is as buff and gruff as ever in the two images showing the titular Witcher looking worse for the wear after undoubtedly dealing with another series of trials and tribulations. But he can’t escape whatever destiny decides to throw at him.

Yennefer (played by Anya Chalotra) seems to be in dire straits in her two images, one of which even shows the powerful sorceress in shackles! But Yennefer is a force to be reckoned with and she will surely not remain in such difficult circumstances for long.

Ciri (played by Freya Allan) has the most intriguing set of images so far. The sheltered princess had begun to learn about her own powers in the first season and based on her new outfit for the next season, she looks like she will be training to be a fearsome warrior and one capable of controlling her unique abilities.

The Witcher is based on the novels by Andrzej Sapkowski following the adventures of a mutant monster-hunter in a dangerous realm called The Continent. The first season premiered last December and a couple of spin-offs are also being planned.

Here is the official synopsis of the season:

“Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”

The Witcher season two will debut sometime soon.
