ICYMI: Pixar’s ‘Soul’ Will Now Have A Disney+ Release

Pixar has officially announced that its upcoming animated feature film, Soul, will now be available to stream exclusively on Disney+ nationwide this winter. The film was originally set for a June 19, 2020 release but due to the outbreak of COVID-19, its release date has been shifted around a few times. According to Variety, Disney+ users will also not have to pay an additional cost to watch Soul when it premieres on the platform on December 25th. No other international dates have been announced at this time.

Featuring the voice talents of Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Phylicia Rashad, Angela Bassett, Ahmir Questlove Thompson, and Daveed Diggs, Soul follows the story of middle-school band teacher Joe Gardner. It is co-directed by Pete Docter and Kemp Powers. Here’s the trailer for your reference.
