The official music video for No Time to Die, the theme song of the upcoming James Bond movie has been released.
Billie Eilish sings the song, which has been out for a while now, and which she has performed earlier this year. The theme is a haunting piece, in line with most James Bond songs, and seems to focus on the complex relationship between Bond and Dr. Madeleine Swann (played by Lea Seydoux.)
As previously reported, No Time to Die is directed by Cary Fukunaga (True Detective, Maniac) with a script co-written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Killing Eve.) This will be Daniel Craig’s fifth time playing the iconic spy and allegedly his last. The film was originally supposed to premiere in April 2020 but the release date has since been pushed to November.
Returning cast members include Ben Whishaw (Skyfall) as Q as well as new additions, Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody) as Bond’s latest nemesis Safin, Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel) as Nomi, the new “00” agent taking over after Bond’s retirement, and Ana de Armas (Knives Out) as Paloma, a CIA agent supporting Bond. Other cast members include Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Christoph Waltz as Ernst Blofeld, Ralph Fiennes as M, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner, and David Dencik as Waldo.
Here is the official synopsis of the film:
“In No Time To Die, Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.”
No Time to Die is scheduled to premiere on November 20.
