The Court of Owls Emerge in First Trailer for ‘Gotham Knights’

With DC FanDome in full swing Warner Bros. Games has released the first official trailer and gameplay footage for Gotham Knights, the next installment in the popular Batman: Arkham game franchise.

Produced by WB Games Montreal, who were responsible for Batman: Arkham Origins, Gotham Knights sees Gotham City without The Dark Knight forcing the rest of the Bat-family to take charge and save the city once again.

The game will allow players to switch between characters Batgirl, Robin, Red Hood, and Nightwing, and places Mr. Freeze as one of the game’s primary antagonists. In addition to showcasing some beautiful visuals as well as the Arkham-style gameplay we’ve come to know and love, the trailer teases the introduction of The Court of Owls and their Talons. This secret group of Gotham villains was initially introduced by writer Scott Snyder’s and artist Greg Capullo’s 2011 run on Batman, and has since gained additional popularity, appearing in animated films as well as the FOX series Gotham.
