Fans of Hulu’s The Great will find this news, well, great! (That was so cheesy, I’m sorry!) The streaming service has officially renewed the satirical period drama for a second season! Huzzah!
Similar to the first season, the second season will have ten episodes, with The Favourite‘s Tony McNamara still serving as the showrunner, writer, and executive producer of the series.
The Great “is a satirical, comedic drama about the rise of Catherine the Great from outsider to the longest-reigning female ruler in Russia’s history. With only occasional historical facts.” The series stars Elle Fanning as Catherine, Nicholas Hoult as Peter III of Russia, Phoebe Fox, Adam Godley, Gwilym Lee, Charity Wakefield, Douglas Hodge, Sacha Dhawan, and Sebastian de Souza.
