Hulu has just renewed two of its newest adult animated series, Solar Opposites and Crossing Swords.
Since Hulu boasts of the “largest streaming TV library of Adult Animation” including shows such as Rick and Morty, Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, and King of the Hill, the renewal of the aforementioned series only adds to the genres that the streaming service excels at and that is a hit with audiences.
Solar Opposites premiered on May 8 with 12 episodes and though the season two premiere date has yet to be announced, the series has already been renewed for a third season.
The series was created by Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan and executively produced and written by Roiland, McMahan, and Josh Bycel. It stars the voice talents of Roiland, Thomas Middleditch, Sean Giambrone, and Mary Mack.
Here is the synopsis of the series:
“Solar Opposites centers around a team of four aliens who escape their exploding home world only to crash land into a move-in ready home in suburban America. They are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo (Justin Roiland) and Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) only see the pollution, crass consumerism, and human frailty while Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) love humans and all their TV, junk food and fun stuff. Their mission: protect the Pupa, a living super computer that will one day evolve into its true form, consume them and terraform the Earth.”

Crossing Swords only just premiered on June 12 for a first season of 10 episodes and has now been renewed for a second season.
The series was created by Tom Root and John Harvatine IV. Root will return as writer and executive producer while Harvatine IV will return as executive producer and director.
The show features the voice talents of Nicholas Hoult, Adam Ray, Tara Strong, Tony Hale, Luke Evans, Seth Green, Alanna Ubach, Adam Pally, Yvette Nicole Brown, Maya Erskine, Breckin Meyer, and Wendi McLendon-Covey.
Here is the synopsis of the show:
“Patrick is a good hearted peasant who lands a coveted squire position at the royal castle however his dream job quickly turns into a nightmare when he learns his beloved kingdom is run by a hornet’s nest of horny monarchs, crooks and charlatans. Even worse, Patrick’s valor made him the black sheep in his family, and now his criminal siblings have returned to make his life hell.
War, murder, full frontal nudity—who knew brightly colored peg people led such exciting lives?”
