WATCH: The Umbrella Academy Season 2 Date Reveal

The Umbrella Academy CastThe Umbrella Academy cast treated us to an at-home dance party that also revealed that season two will drop on July 31, 2020.

Only a couple of months to wait before fans can see the dysfunctional superhero siblings again. After the apocalyptic ending of the first season, The Umbrella Academy was renewed for a second season of ten hour-long episodes. The show was a runaway hit when it first aired last February 2019, becoming one of the most popular superhero series on television.

The first season concluded with all the siblings joining forces to stop the end of the world, as witnessed by the time-traveling Number Five. Vanya (Number Seven) was the unwitting trigger for this cataclysmic event but her siblings managed to stop her from unleashing complete destruction. But the moon was destroyed and fragments of it began raining on Earth, ending the show on this massive cliffhanger. How they all manage to survive and still save the world will be the subject of the upcoming season.

Last February, Netflix released character posters for the next season but no other promotional material have been released but that has been remedied by the appearance of this amazing dance party clip.

While not official trailer, the glorious video features all seven Hargreeves siblings (Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, Robert Sheehan, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Aidan Gallagher, and Justin Min) grooving to the 80s hit “I Think We’re Alone Now”, clearly an homage to that iconic season one scene that featured them all dancing to the same song while in different parts of the mansion. The new video shows the cast members all (some very awkwardly) dancing from the comfort of their own homes while showing the different facets of their characters. Special mention goes out to Robert Sheehan and his chaotic energy.

Don’t miss The Umbrella Academy season two on July 31, 2020.
