Just in time for the country’s 244th birthday!

Hamilton: An American Musical finally opened on Broadway at the Richard Rogers Theatre on August 6, 2015, after a journey that began in the late-2000s. Inspired by the 2004 biography written by Ron Chernow, the musical goes through the life of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton after he leaves his home on the island of Nevis as a young adult to move to New York.

This film was recorded in June 2016 and features stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Daveed Diggs, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Leslie Odom, Jr., Christopher Jackson, Jonathan Groff, Phillipa Soo, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Okieriete Onaodowan, Anthony Ramos, Carleigh Bettiol, Ariana DeBose, Hope Easterbrook, Sydney James Harcourt, Sasha Hutchings, Thayne Jasperson, Elizabeth Judd, Jon Rua, Austin Smith, Seth Stewart, and Ephraim Sykes. The full cast album below is approximately 2 hrs and 22 mins long.

The show would also go on to win 11 of its record-breaking 16 Tony Awards nominations at the 70th Annual Tony Awards, so naturally Hamilton fans and musical enthusiasts alike have been eagerly awaiting a recording.
