ICYMI: Disney Set To Release Hamilton Film Next Year

The announcement that Hamilton: An American Musical fans have waited for has finally happened. We officially have a date for the Hamilfilm! One of the reasons why this project is so special is because it’s a taped recording of the show with the Original Broadway Company. They managed to film a show live on stage before most of them stepped down from their roles.

In addition to Lin-Manuel Miranda, original Hamilton cast members included Leslie Odom Jr., Phillipa Soo, Christopher Jackson, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, and more! Hamilton would eventually (no pun intended) go on to make history and score 16 Tony nominations! Something a show has never done before.

It is currently playing on Broadway in New York, in London’s West End, San Francisco, and on tour. They’ll be coming to Los Angeles in March 2020 and Sydney, Australia in March 2021.
