
The Robinson family is back for more adventure…and danger. At New York Comic Con, the cast of Lost in Space finally unveiled details about the show’s highly anticipated second season. The 10-episode season—which was filmed in Iceland and Vancouver—will hit Netflix on December 24, with each episode running an hour long. Yes, Lost in Space fans…that means we’ll spending Christmas with the Robinsons! In addition to the holiday release news, the cast also revealed a new addition to their ensemble. JJ Feild (Turn: Washington’s Spies) has joined the Lost in Space cast in a recurring role of Ben Adler. He’s chief of advanced systems and artificial intelligence. An academic contemporary to Maureen Robinson, but he has more in common with her son, Will.
About season two of Lost in Space, here’s what we know so far:
With the Jupiter 2 stranded on a mysterious ocean planet without their beloved Robot, the Robinsons must work together, alongside the mischievous and manipulative Dr. Smith and the always charming Don West, to make it back to the Resolute and reunite with the other colonists. But they quickly find all is not as it seems. A series of incredible new threats and unexpected discoveries emerge as they look for the key to finding Robot and safe passage to Alpha Centauri. They will stop at nothing to keep their family safe…survival is a Robinson specialty after all.
