Paramount Pictures has released a brand new trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate, the latest addition to the Terminator franchise serving as a direct sequel to James Cameron’s 1991 science fiction classic, Terminator 2. Directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) with a story co-written by producer James Cameron, Dark Fate sees Linda Hamilton return to the iconic role of Sarah Connor as she sets out to protect Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) from a new Terminator played by Gabriel Luna (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
The all-new trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate confirms that Mackenzie Davis’ character, Grace, is an enhanced human from the future, and more or less confirms that Arnold Schwarzeneggar is playing an aged Terminator. Why else would Sarah Connor be dead set on killing him after their mission is concluded? He also seems to go toe-to-toe with this film’s new terminator.
Although brief, we do get some glimpses of the post-apocalyptic future of the timeline introduced in this new film, and do really get to see how advanced and formidable Gabriel Luna’s terminator is in comparison to previous ones. Unfortunately, even though it was recently announced that Edward Furlong would reprise his role as John Connor, this trailer doesn’t shed any light on that. Hopefully, it will be a surprise saved for the film’s release.
