Disney has officially released the first teaser trailer for Mulan. It is based on the narrative poem “The Ballad of Mulan” and follows the story of Hua Mulan as she takes her father’s place in the war against the Northern invaders. For those of you who grew up watching the animated feature, there are significant changes but it works. We’re really glad they chose this route. If you find yourself missing the songs, listen to the underscore. They’re in there. Disney’s Mulan is set to open nationwide on March 27, 2020.
