WATCH: Pixar’s ‘Onward’ First Official Teaser Trailer

Our first official look at Pixar’s Onward is finally here! Directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae, Onward follows the story of the Lightfoot brothers as they go on a quest to see if there is still some magic left in the world. The movie stars Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer and is scheduled to open nationwide on March 6, 2020.

THINGS WE LEARN FROM THE TEASER:

• The Lightfoot’s are elves from a suburban-fantasy town called New Mushroomton.
• We see a variety of creatures that range from trolls, centaurs, gnomes, mermaids, etc.
• The headline on The Daily Scroll newspaper reads: “Centaur Gallop Poll Results”
• Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus voices their mom Laura.
• The brothers are polar opposites. Tom Holland voices Ian and Chris Pratt voices Barley.
• They have a pet dragon named Lazey. Lazey has a dragon lair.
• Ian isn’t a fan of unicorns. Barley has a van with a flying horse on it.
• Barley is really excited about this “grand and glorious quest” but Ian refers to it as a “really fast and strange errand.”
• We are not introduced to Octavia Spencer’s character just yet.
