Maurissa Tancharoen to Guest Star on Next Week’s Ep of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’

Maurissa Tancharoen has been a part of the Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. family since the beginning (alongside her husband Jed Whedon, of course). However, as showrunner and co-executive producer, her involvement is usually behind the scenes. That’s about to change on next week’s episode. *Note: if you’d prefer to avoid spoilers entirely, this is where you should stop reading.

Marvel reports that Tancharoen will guest-star in the upcoming fourth episode of this season of Agents of SHIELD, titled “Code Yellow.” She will be playing the character of Sequoia, who is described as a “Coachella-chic social media influencer.” Interestingly, the image of Sequoia shows her posing with none other than Deke (Jeff Ward)! What are the two of them doing together?

Tancharoen, who has a number of acting credits to her name, said about the role:

We had talked about the possibility of a cameo at some point in our run, but when the Zuckerman sisters crafted the treasure that is Sequoia, I was all in. I might’ve bit off more than I could chew, but it was so much fun to shift gears and play in front of the camera with a cast and crew I’ve worked closely with for six years.

“Code Yellow” will air next Friday, May 31, on ABC. Judging by the one-sentence episode summary offered by Marvel at the above link, it sounds like it’s going to be packed with action and humor, as usual. Will you be watching?
