WATCH: Sarah Connor Returns in First Trailer for ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’

Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first official trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate. Directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) with a screenplay co-written by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight) and story by James Cameron, Dark Fate reunites actors Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger, along with newcomers to the franchise Mackenzie Davis (Halt and Catch Fire), Gabriel Luna (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), and Natalia Reyes (2091).

Despite being the sixth film in the Terminator franchise, like 2018’s Halloween, Dark Fate will ignore the events of the previous three films, picking up where James Cameron’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day left off.

With no John Connor in sight, Sarah Connor (Hamilton) is back and here to protect Dani Ramos (Reyes) with assistance from a new Terminator/human hybrid named Grace (Davis). In line with previous films, Gabriel Luna plays a new antagonistic Terminator sent back in time to kill Ramos, while Schwarzenegger’s role has not been officially revealed.
