WATCH: Final Killing Eve trailer

Killing Eve trailerAnother exciting trailer for Killing Eve has just been released, subtitled “Obsession”, and again reminding us of Eve’s relentless pursuit of Villanelle.

Two other trailers, “Addicted” and “Quiet”, were previously released to hype the upcoming season. The first trailer was released on Valentine’s Day and the second on International Women’s Day.

The short clip shows the injured Villanelle struggling out of the hospital and looking more pained to be wearing a pair of tacky Crocs than bothered about being stabbed in the stomach. The next season of Killing Eve will cover the aftermath of that bloody confrontation while Villanelle continues to wreak havoc while dressed in style and Eve gives in to her own obsession.

Eve tells her co-worker that she stabbed the assassin and they have to endure a long, awkward silence as someone else walks into the office. Carolyn is also seen warning Eve not to be too excited about chasing after Villanelle. From the last three trailers, it looks like viewers will be treated to all the “crazy things” that these two fascinating women will do in the name of “love.” The journey is bound to be full of international thrills and a lot of creatively-executed (pun intended) crimes. Villanelle never disappoints after all.

As previously reported, Emerald Fennell (Call the Midwife) will serve as showrunner on Killing Eve season two while the series creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge focuses on the second season of Fleabag. The critically acclaimed series stars Sandra Oh as Eve Polastri and Jodie Comer as Villanelle. Other returning cast members include Fiona Shaw and Sean Delaney. At this year’s TCA’s the team behind the show discussed the show’s dark sense of humor and its deft exploration of the female psyche.
