WATCH: HBO’s Queen of the World Official Trailer

Prince Edward abdicated the throne in 1931. That was the moment that changed the House of Windsor forever. HRH Queen Elizabeth II has officially been on the throne since her coronation day on June 2, 1953. Britain’s government may be a constitutional monarchy but she’s still Head of State. Her watch spans over the 4 countries of the United Kingdom and 53 countries of the Commonwealth Realm. HBO’s newest documentary, Queen of the World, will offer insight into her world as she passes the baton on to the younger members of the Royal Family and as a public figure on the global stage. Queen of the World was originally produced by Oxford Films for ITV in the U.K.
