WATCH: New ‘Deadpool 2’ Trailer Takes Jab at the DCEU and Introduces Peter

New poster by Rob Liefeld!

20th Century Fox has released the final trailer for Deadpool 2, and with it we are formally introduced to the members of Deadpool’s (Ryan Reynolds) newly formed superhero team, X-Force. The Merc with the mouth will be joined by Domino, played by Atlanta‘s Zazie Beets, as well as Shatterstar and Bedlam, played by Lewis Tan (Into the Badlands) and Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), respectively.

A surprising addition to the crew is that of Peter (Rob Delaney), a completely powerless middle-aged human male seemingly joining X-Force for a job, or just a new experience. He even has his own Twitter account which appeared online last month:

In addition to introducing us to Peter and the X-Force, the final trailer for Deadpool 2 isn’t shy on jokes, action, and fourth-wall breaks, featuring a slight jab at the dark tone of the DCEU films and an actual “Thanos” name drop. A shot near the end even pokes fun at Wade Wilson’s ridiculously impossible katana skills in X-Men Origins: Wolverine [link].
