‘Attack of the Southern Fried Zombies’ Announces DVD & Digital Release

If you find that your blood and gore supply is running low, fear not! Gravitas Ventures will be releasing Mark Newton’s new film Attack of the Southern Fried Zombies on Tuesday, March 13th via DVD and other digital platforms. The movie already won “Goriest Film” at 2017’s FANtastic Horror Film Festival in San Diego, and soon you will be able to enjoy it in the creepy comfort of your own home. It will also be released for a limited Los Angeles run at the Arena CineLounge on Sunset Boulevard as of Friday, March 23rd if you prefer the atmosphere of the cinema.
Attack of the Southern Fried Zombies takes place in Charleston, Mississippi, where creatures known as kudzu have begun taking over. It turns out a company called GloboBioTech was performing some experiments with an herbicide called Quadoxin which did not go as planned. And so a crop duster pilot by the name of Lonnie (Timothy Haug) must lead the survivors away from the hordes of zombies and the beloved citizens who have been transformed into brain-eaters and killing machines.
Aside from newcomer Haug, Attack of the Southern Fried Zombies also stars Moses J. Moseley (The Walking Dead), Wyntergrace Williams (This Just In), Megan Few (Demons), Escalante Lundy (Django Unchained), Kaitlin Mesh, and Clay Acker.  You can watch the trailer below:

Christian Hokenson wrote the screenplay, which was produced by Daniel Wood, Mark Newton, Juri Koll, Per Ericson, and Stephan Stromer. For tickets for the exclusive Los Angeles theatrical run at Arena CineLounge on Sunset, which begins Friday, March 23th, please visit the ArenaScreen site here.
