New trailer for A Series of Unfortunate Events season 2

A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2 olafNetflix has released a thrilling new trailer for the upcoming season of A Series of Unfortunate Events where Count Olaf delights in showing us a sneak peek of his dastardly deeds.

The short clip opens with Lemony Snicket (played by Patrick Warburton) warning viewers to stay away from the series about the sorrows suffered by the three Baudelaire orphans. He is quickly interrupted by Count Olaf (played by Neil Patrick Harris), who criticizes the promo, calling it “so season 1.”

He quickly takes over and begins to narrate a series of clips comparing the hardships suffered by the Baudelaires in season one with the horrors they will endure in season 2, saying that things will go from Bad to Worse. He then goes into what to expect from the upcoming ten episodes. (Spoiler alert to those who have not read the books!)

“There’s more villainous treachery, more treacherous villains, angry villains, unwanted elective surgeries, man-eating lions, more violence, fire, and despair!”

A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2The trailer then shows more scenes from the season with the three Baudelaires running away from one horror to the next. A Series of Unfortunate Events stars Malina Weissman as Violet Baudelaire, Louis Hynes as Klaus Baudelaire, and Presley Smith as Sunny Baudelaire. There are brief glimpses of the new cast members for this season including Roger Bart, Tony Hale, Nathan Fillion, Sara Rue, and Lucy Punch.

As previously reported, the second season will adapt the next five books of the series, namely The Austere Academy, The Ersatz Elevator, The Vile Village, The Hostile Hospital, and The Carnivorous Carnival. The show has already been renewed for a third and final season, which will conclude the series and cover the last four books.

“It’s really going to be quite dreadful,” Olaf concludes with sinister glee, “I can’t wait!”

The complete second season of A Series of Unfortunate Events will air on Netflix on March 30, 2018.
