Dove Cameron’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Role Revealed

After her amusing tease about joining the show, today we finally have more info on the role Dove Cameron will be playing when she guest stars on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this season.

According to EW, Cameron will be playing a character named Ruby. She’s described as “a young woman of cunning intelligence who has a mysterious obsession with Daisy Johnson,” aka Quake, aka the Destroyer of Worlds. The other interesting tidbit? Ruby is General Hale’s daughter. In case you’d forgotten, Hale (played by Catherine Dent) is the creepy government (?) agent who shot her two subordinates for failing to keep Fitz, Hunter, and Robin from escaping their custody.

We’ll be seeing Cameron’s character for the first time in the March 2 episode of Agents of SHIELD, airing as usual at 9pm ET on ABC.

In the meantime, what are your thoughts about Ruby? Will she be just as cold-blooded as her mother? Why does she care so much about Daisy? Let us know your theories in the comments.
