Marvel Editor-In-Chief Teases ‘Old Man Hawkeye’ #1

Earlier this year Marvel Comics announced Old Man Hawkeye, a 12-issue mini-series that takes place five years before the events of the 2008 series Old Man Logan. In Old Man Logan, Wolverine is hired by a now blind Hawkeye in a post-apocalyptic future. The new mini-series written by Ethan Sacks (Secret Empire: Brave New World) with art by Marco Chechetto (Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Captain Phasma) will see Hawkeye, a.k.a. Clint Barton, go on his own journey as his eyesight begins to deteriorate.

Today Marvel Comics Editor-In-Chief Axel Alonso teased the upcoming series by providing a single page he describes as “stunning.” The page sees Hawkeye think back to a tragic time in his history: the death of fellow Avenger Black Widow. Check it out:

The page was done by series artist Mark Chechetto and colored by Andres Josè Mossa, who has worked with Chechetto on the series Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Captain Phasma and Gamora.

Old Man Hawkeye #1 hits store shelves and digital platforms January 2018. Will you be picking it up?
