Actress Who Played Infamous Role on ‘X-Files’ to Return

EW reports that the actress who played one of The X-Files‘ most infamous guest-starring roles is returning for the show’s upcoming 11th season.

Karin Konoval very memorably played the amputee mother of a family of mutants in the show’s season four episode “Home.” The episode was deemed so disturbing that FOX notoriously decided not to re-air it for years afterward. However, since its airing, many fans have listed it among their favorite hours of The X-Files.

All that being said, we shouldn’t exactly expect a return “Home” in season 11. Showrunner Chris Carter hints:

“While Karen Konoval won’t be reprising her role as the mother-under-the-bed in the fan-favorite episode ‘Home,’ she will be returning in a tour-de-force performance in an early episode. Or, more accurately — performances.”

Konoval will be playing several roles in an episode that is promised to be quite scary. The actress is also well-known for her work in The Planet of the Apes trilogy, and many other roles in TV and film.

The X-Files is scheduled to return sometime in midseason 2018 for a ten-episode season on FOX.
