Check Out the New photos from Marvel’s The Punisher

The first batch of photos from Marvel’s upcoming series, The Punisher, have been released by Netflix, according to a report by Collider.

The Punisher will feature less episodes than the usual 13 from the individual series of the Defenders (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist). After the compelling performance by Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, the story is sure to be another gripping thriller, as evidenced by the short but intense teaser released at the end of the first season of The Defenders.

Bernthal will be joined in the series by Daredevil alum Deborah Ann Woll, reprising her role as Karen Page. She will be the major crossover character, as Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple was in the Defenders series. And from her prominence in the photos, it looks like she will be playing a more significant role in The Punisher.

Along with these photos, the skull poster was also released, featuring the Punisher’s signature logo. A photo of Castle in military attire hints that scenes from his past will also be explored in the series.

As previously reported, the series will also star Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro, and Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, many of whom feature in the photos below.

Here is the official synopsis of the series:

“After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone.”

Although no premiere date has been announced yet for The Punisher, the series is set to air later this year on Netflix, the latest addition to their collection of Marvel shows.
