Courtney Ford Joins ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ As Eleanor Darhk

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly‘s exclusive scoop, we’ve learned that Damian Darhk will be far from alone when he returns to Legends of Tomorrow this season. Starting in the fifth episode, actress Courtney Ford (True BloodParenthood) will take on the recurring role of a cunning and mysterious woman named Eleanor – who is actually Darhk’s daughter.

Now this poses an interesting question right off the bat, because Arrow introduced us to the villain’s family back in season 4. His wife died, but his daughter Nora survived (or so we assume). So is Eleanor a grown up version of Nora under an assumed identity, or is this a totally different version of Damian who has a totally different daughter? Given that executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Phil Klemmer have already hinted that the villain will return to our screens after being resurrected, the former option seems a little likelier.

No matter her origin, however, EW confirmed that Eleanor is a metaphorical chess master who is always ahead of the game and knows just how to manipulate her opponents. She also possesses dark magic that stems from daddy dearest, and there’s no question that she’ll use those powers to make life difficult for the Legends. For those who don’t know, actress Courtney Ford is married to Brandon Routh (who plays Ray Palmer on the show). So it’s no surprise that poor Ray will be inexplicably drawn to the beautiful Eleanor in spite of his better judgment. Any chance she will soften for him? Our dearly beloved Atom has had the absolute worst luck with women across both shows up to this point, so we’re rooting for him one way or another.

Find out what Eleanor will be up to and how quickly Ray will fall for her when the third season of Legends of Tomorrow returns to the CW. The premiere airs on Tuesday, October 10 at 9/8c.
