Thank You For Your Service PosterThe trailer for Thank You For Your Service, a drama about soldiers dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, has been released.

According to Collider, the film is based on the 2013 nonfiction book of the same name written by David Finkel which recounts the struggles of soldiers returning home from Iraq and trying to integrate back into family and civilian life. Miles Teller stars as one of these soldiers, and the trailer shows him reuniting with his family but also realizing that he has not quite left the war behind.

Here’s the official synopsis of the film:

“DreamWorks Pictures’ Thank You for Your Service follows a group of U.S. soldiers returning from Iraq who struggle to integrate back into family and civilian life, while living with the memory of a war that threatens to destroy them long after they’ve left the battlefield.”

Thank You For Your Service is directed by Jason Hall (American Sniper) and also stars Haley Bennett, Amy Schumer, Joe Cole, Beulah Koale, Scott Haze, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Brad Beyer, Omar J. Dorsey, and Jayson Warner Smith.

Thank You for Your Service opens in theaters on October 27th.
