Goodbye Christopher RobinThe new trailer for Goodbye Christopher Robin, based on the life of Winnie-the-Pooh creator A.A. Milne, has been released.

The film covers the life of the author as he interacts with his young son, Christopher Robin Milne, the inspiration for all the beloved Winnie-the-Pooh stories. A. A. Milne is played by Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the Harry Potter movies) while his wife is played by Margot Robbie and the child’s nanny is played by Kelly MacDonald.

Collider compares the film to Finding Neverland, which starred Johnny Depp playing the role of J.M. Barrie, author of Peter Pan.

GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN gives a rare glimpse into the relationship between beloved children’s author A. A. Milne (Domhnall Gleeson) and his son Christopher Robin (Will Tilston), whose toys inspired the magical world of Winnie the Pooh.  Along with his mother Daphne (Margot Robbie), and his nanny Olive (Kelly Macdonald), Christopher Robin and his family are swept up in the international success of the books; the enchanting tales bringing hope and comfort to England after the First World War.   But with the eyes of the world on Christopher Robin, what will the cost be to the family?”

Goodbye Christopher Robin is set to premiere in the UK this September, and the US November 10th.
