‘Hellboy’ Star Shares First Behind-The-Scenes Photo from Upcoming Reboot

If you haven’t already heard, a Hellboy reboot is currently in the works from Millennium Films entitled Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen. Directed by Neil Marshall (Game of Thrones, Westworld), the upcoming reboot will star Stranger Things star David Harbour as Hellboy himself and is set to be an R-Rated take on the comic book character.

Recently, via his Instgram handle dkharbour, Harbour uploaded the first production still from Rise of the Blood Queen. Posted below, we can see the Harbour is already being fitted for Hellboy’s iconic right hand of doom. Check it out.

With production on Rise of the Blood Queen moving forward, those still holding out hope for a sequel to 2008’s Hellboy: The Golden Army directed by Guillermo Del Toro and starring Ron Perlman can now begin to look forward to this new adaptation. As of right now, no official release date for Rise of the Blood Queen has been set, though it aims to begin filming this September for a 2018 release. We’ll keep you posted on any new updates as they come through, but in the meantime let us know what you think of this upcoming project. Do you think David Harbour is a good pick for the role Ron Pearlman portrayed nearly 10 years prior?
