Glen and Darin Morgan to Write for ‘X-Files’ Season 11

X-Philes can rest assured that season 11 will include some familiar names on the writing staff.

Den of Geek reports that Glen Morgan, also a producer on the show, has confirmed that he’ll be involved with the upcoming 2018 episodes of The X-Files. Morgan wrote and directed season 10’s “Home Again,” as well as many episodes of the classic show.

He told Den of Geek that he will write two episodes for the next season. Showrunner and creator Chris Carter will be in charge of resolving season 10’s cliffhanger, however. Morgan’s brother Darin Morgan, probably most famous for writing the beloved “Jose Chung’s ‘From Outer Space’,” will also take responsibility for one episode this time around. His episode “Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster” was a highlight from season 10.

Season 11 of The X-Files is scheduled for a mid-season premiere, early 2018 on FOX.

What do you think of this news? Personally, I’m especially excited for another Darin Morgan episode, though I’m sure it will be exceptionally quirky. Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
