It’s here! The first official teaser for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has arrived online. Following up the J.J. Abrams-directed The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi is helmed by writer/director Rian Johnson, whose previous credits include the films Brick, Looper, and episodes of Breaking Bad. The upcoming film will see the return of Daisy Ridley as Rey, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, and Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, as well as Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and the late Carrie Fisher as General Leia.
The all-new teaser for The Last Jedi doesn’t go much into plot specifics, but we do get a sense that Rey will begin to learn more of the force and train as a Jedi under the instruction of Luke. Additionally, the villainous Kylo Ren continues his vendetta, promising the end of the Jedi.

Finn Finn Finn more Finnnnnnnn. Although I like the theory that there aren’t many scenes of his in the trailer because the rest of his scenes would be too spoilery.
I am super here for the rejection of Jedi philosophies and promotion of other alternatives for force sensitivity/usage beyond the jedi/sith dichotomy. It was hinted at in Rogue One (and more than hinted at in the clone wars/rebels cartoons), and I want moooooore.
