20th Century Fox has unveiled a brand new trailer for their upcoming installment in their current Planet of the Apes franchise, War for the Planet of the Apes. Directed by Matt Reeves, who directed its predecessor, and starring Woody Harrelson, Judy Greer, and Andy Serkis as Caesar, War for the Planet of Apes follows the ape known as Caesar in a battle against humanity.
Downright grim in tone, the trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes promises a dire story filled with loss and betrayal as some of Caesar’s fellow apes join up with the humans against Caesar. A colonel played by Woody Harrelson serves as a ruthless leader set out on ridding the world of ape-kind.
