Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ gets a premiere date and official logo

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is ever expanding, with hardly a break for fans before new films and television shows drop, one after the other. As fanboys & fangirls, we’re not complaining, it’s a great time to be a Superhero fan.

Now fans have a new date to look forward to, with Marvel Entertainment yesterday giving the world a first look at the official logo, and a confirmed release date for The Inhumans.

Here’s the tweet:

The first 2 episodes of the 8-part series, filmed entirely by IMAX Cameras, will hit IMAX theaters on September 1st, and run for two weeks. Those 2 episodes will then premiere on an undisclosed date on ABC, with added content, and be followed by the remaining 6 episodes of the series.

It remains to be seen what, if any, connection The Inhumans series will have to ABC’s first Marvel series, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., where the Inhumans were first introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here’s hoping for an appearance by everyone’s favorite Inhuman SHIELD operative? Fingers are firmly crossed.
