Sneak Peeks From The Flash/Supergirl Musical

In anticipation of tonight’s The Flash & Supergirl musical extravaganza, CW has released various clips on their YouTube channel hinting at what’s to come in “Duet.” We know that Music Meister (guest star Darren Criss) has whammied Kara, putting her in a dream state where she’s forced to sing and dance before an audience. And tonight, Barry Allen is going to undergo the same treatment. So what are we waiting for? Let’s check out the clips!

Last night’s Supergirl introduced the Music Meister in its final scene, but tonight’s The Flash is when the action really starts. John Barrowman, who usually stars on either Legends of Tomorrow or Arrow, gets to play a role in the action and insists that the entire family is going to enjoy the evening. Based on the previews in this video, it’s clear Kara is a huge fan of musicals – especially The Wizard of Oz.

Darren Criss reminisces about the mini-Glee crossover he underwent by facing off against both Supergirl and The Flash, while also giving props to their choreographer Zach Woodlee. Say what you will about Glee, their dance numbers were always stunning.

Grant Gustin discusses another reunion that The Flash musical provided him. He and Supergirl‘s Chris Wood actually went to college together, and are appearing onscreen for the first time since.

Comicbook.com also posted a beautiful clip of Melissa Benoist singing “Moon River” when Barry first enters the shared dream. It pairs nicely with the lighthearted and improvisational “Super Friends” original song (written by Crazy Ex-Girlfriend‘s Rachel Bloom) that USA Today released over the weekend.

What are you most looking forward to when it comes to tonight’s The Flash? Do you think the musical numbers will blow you away, or make you wish you had no eardrums? Find out one way or another when “Duet” airs tonight at 8/7c on the CW!
