Little more than a week until Beauty and the Beast premieres and Disney has been releasing new clips to whet our appetite even more for this adaptation.
We previously reported about the fun excerpt featuring Luke Evans as Gaston and Josh Gad as LeFou. The latest clip features Lumiere (voiced by Ewan McGregor) and Cogsworth (voiced by Ian McKellen) both arguing about what to do with the mysterious guest, Belle (played by Emma Watson.) Lumiere is excited about her being there, and firmly believes that she might be the one who could break the spell on them and finally turn them human again. But first, Belle and the Beast must fall in love and Lumiere is determined to make this happen.
Cogsworth is less enthusiastic about the prospect and tries to dissuade Lumiere from making the girl feel welcome. But the candelabra is not to be deterred from his task and he orders the kitchen staff to prepare a feast to show their hospitality. Anyone who has watched the original animated classic will know that he is about to sing “Be Our Guest.” The clip is certainly leading up to that extravagant song number and we are looking forward to how it will play out in the live-screen adaptation.
Beauty and the Beast premieres on March 17, 2017.
