Cast Revealed for Marvel’s ‘Runaways’ Series on Hulu

Created by writer Brian K. Vaughan (Saga) and artist Adrian Alphona (Ms. Marvel), Marvel’s hit teen comic series Runaways told the story of a group of children who, after learning they are the sons and daughters of super villains, decide to defect from their parents and eventually rise up against them. Earlier last year it was announced that Marvel would be bringing the comic to life on the small screen as a Hulu original series. As the series continues to develop, we now know who will be cast as the titular heroes.

Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, and Virginia Gardner

Alex Wilder, a highly intelligent son of two mafia bosses, will be portrayed by Rhenzy Feliz (left). Previous credits of Rhenzy include Teen Wolf and the Hulu original series, Casual. Nico Minoru, a magician who is the daughter of dark wizards, will be played by Lyrica Okano (middle). One of Okano’s more recent appearances was that of the character Chrissy on Showtime’s The Affair. Karolina Dean, the solar-powered daughter of alien invaders, will be portrayed by Virginia Gardner (right). Gardner has had a steady career since 2011 appearing in multiple series including Glee and The Goldbergs.

Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, and Allegra Acosta

Ariela Barer (left), who has appeared in the series New Girl and One Day at a Time, will take on the role of Gertrude Yokes, who is the daughter of two time-traveling criminals. Chase Stein, the son of mad scientists, will be played by Gregg Sulkin (middle). Sulkin’s most notable role would be that of Liam on the now-cancelled MTV comedy Faking It. And last but not least, Allegra Acosta (right), who has appeared on Nickelodeon’s 100 Things to Do Before High School, will be playing Molly Hernandez. Referred to as Molly Hayes in the comics, Molly is revealed early on to be a mutant with super strength. It’s unclear whether or not Molly will retain her mutant identity in the upcoming series.

So, there you have it. The official cast of Marvel’s upcoming Hulu adaptation of Runaways. Developed by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (The O.C., Gossip Girl), Marvel’s Runaways currently has no premiere date, but we’ll keep you posted as more updates come through.
