Patton Oswalt Returning to ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’

If you, like me, had wished and hoped to see more of the Koenig brothers on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., then I’ve got some good news for you.

As EW reports, Patton Oswalt is set to return in the January 31 episode, “Hot Potato Soup”, as Koenig brothers Sam and Billy. Minor plot spoilers follow:

This episode will find Billy and Sam being hunted down in a bid to get to the Darkhold. Our SHIELD team must save them – and in the process, the viewers could finally get some answers. According to series executive producers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, “Patton Oswalt returns as the Koenigs, and we finally reveal their family secret.”

What might that secret be? Are the Koenigs other LMDs, as has been theorized after their past appearances? How would that work with the new LMD(s) that Dr. Radcliffe and Aida have constructed?
