According to Entertainment Weekly‘s scoop today, Wentworth Miller will be gracing Legends of Tomorrow with his presence once more. The last time his character, Leonard Snart, showed up on the show was unfortunately a drunken hallucination of Mick’s (Dominic Purcell), but this time it’s real.

Wentworth Miller & Arthur Darvill have both been missed this season.
Fans have heard rumblings about the Legion of Doom adding Snart to its roster since the season started, and it sounds like those plans are finally coming to fruition. Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), and Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) will most likely be picking Captain Cold up from a time period before his sacrifice at the end of season 1.
Wentworth Miller spoke to EW about his character’s potential arc on the new season. “He hasn’t gone on that first season Legends of Tomorrow journey yet, so when we meet him again — quote unquote alive in 2017 — I imagine that he’s going to be much like when we first met him the first season on The Flash, which I’m looking forward to, because it means I get to arc to a completely different place.”
Last season sent Leonard on a soul-searching journey that ended with him heroically saving his friends at the expense of his own life, and his death in turn affected his partner in crime Mick. This season of Legends of Tomorrow, it is Mick who has grown more soft-hearted and heroic both due to Leonard’s death and because of the influence of other team members like Amaya and Ray. Perhaps a younger, harder Snart will resent seeing his old pal taking a turn for the better?
Not to mention that Leonard and Sara had some unresolved romantic hints last season that may come back to the surface. Sara remembers the kiss, even though she hasn’t mentioned it this season. What will she do when faced with Leonard’s criminal self? And how will Snart react? We don’t know, but we can’t wait to find out!
Tune in to the midseason premiere of Legends of Tomorrow on Tuesday, January 24th at 9 pm ET on CW.
