Golden Globe nominee Sterling K. Brown is the most recent addition to the star-studded cast of Marvel’s Black Panther film.
According to an article by The Hollywood Reporter, Brown, who brilliantly played the role of Christopher Darden on The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, and who is also currently starring in the Golden Globe nominated drama This is Us, has joined the cast of the Black Panther.
Marvel announced that Brown will be playing a character named N’Jobu, a notable figure from T’Challa (the Black Panther)’s past.
Chadwick Boseman stars in the title role, having previously made his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Captain America: Civil War. The rest of the cast includes Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, and Florence Kasumba.
As previously reported, the film will be written and directed by Ryan Coogler (Creed). Production on the film is scheduled to begin early this year.
Black Panther is set to be released on February 2, 2018.
