Constantine Leads a New Team in First Trailer for ‘Justice League Dark’

Beginning with 2014’s Justice League War, Warner Bros. Animation has continued to expand their DC animated movie universe, with the last installment being this year’s Justice League vs. Teen Titans. The films will soon delve into the supernatural with the early 2017 release of Justice League Dark.

Justice League Dark sees a new threat emerge that the regular Justice League can’t handle themselves. This leads to Batman finding John Constantine, which leads to the formation of a new team including the magician Zatanna, Deadman, the demon Etrigan, Black Orchid, and Swamp Thing.

Directed by Jay Oliva, who has already been commissioned for several past DC animated movies and some Young Justice episodes, Justice League Dark features the voice talents of returning actor Jason O’Mara (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Batman, Camilla Luddington (Rise of the Tomb Raider) as Zatanna, Nicholas Turturro (Blue Bloods) as Deadman, Ray Chase (Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV) as Etrigan, and Matt Ryan as John Constantine. Fans of The CW’s DC TV universe and NBC’s cancelled Constantine series will be able to experience Matt Ryan’s return to the character, this time in animated form.
