The Walking Dead will have an extended fourth episode

The Walking Dead S7The November 13 episode of the seventh season of The Walking Dead will run for 85 minutes.

According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, the fourth episode of The Walking Dead will see the main cast return to Alexandria after the devastating events of the season premiere.

The official logline for the episode reads:

“The remaining members of the group try to keep it together in Alexandria; they receive a sobering visit.”

In an earlier interview with EW, star Andrew Lincoln (who plays Rick Grimes) discussed the impact of the deaths in the premiere and how the rest of the group will be reacting to this latest catastrophe.

Lincoln said:

“All I will say is that this is a rocky road. It’s a shocking beginning to a season, but it is the beginning of a season ….That’s what people have to remember. This is where we begin, after the quake. This season is about rebuilding and about characters dealing with the trauma and grief of this brutal attack, but also this new regime that they are now a part of. And each react in their own individual ways. It’s more Lord of the Rings than Lord of the Flies this season.”

The Walking Dead season 7 airs every Sunday on AMC.
