Civil War II #7 standard cover by Marko Djurdjevic
Coinciding with the theatrical release of Captain America: Civil War Marvel Comics began publishing their current crossover mini-series Civil War II. The series pits hero against hero yet again, but for completely different reasons than the last time. Rather than dealing with the backlash of super hero registration, heroes are divided after an Inhuman by the name of Ulysses is discovered as having the ability to predict the future. Carol Danvers, a.k.a. Captain Marvel, attempts to utilize this power for good, while Tony Stark/Iron Man stands firmly against said idea.
Written by Brian Michael Bendis (Alias) with art by David Marquez (All-New X-Men), the series has had many twists and turns from the deaths of founding Avengers members to the recent apprehension of a certain webslinger in issue #5. While the upcoming sixth issue is still set to release in stores and digital platforms October 26th, the series’ penultimate seventh issue has pushed forward one week resulting in a November 23 release date.
