The Punisher adds new cast members

Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Amber Rose Revah are the latest to join the cast of Marvel’s The Punisher, and Ben Barnes’ role has also been revealed.

In a report by Marvel news, two actors have joined star Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) in the cast of the upcoming Netflix standalone series, The Punisher. The title character previously played a large role in the second season of Daredevil. Shortly after this successful appearance, it was announced that Frank Castle would have his own series on Netflix.

As previously reported, Ben Barnes (Chronicles of Narnia, Westworld) joined the show and this new report has revealed the role the British actor will be playing. He will be Billy Russo, described as “Frank Castle’s best friend from his days in the Special Forces. He runs a successful private military corporation called ‘Anvil.’”

Amber Rose Revah (Indian Summers) will be playing Dinah Madani, described as “a highly-trained sophisticated Homeland Security agent who is vexed by the Punisher.”

Executive Producer and showrunner Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal) expressed his excitement about the casting:

I’m really excited about the cast we’re assembling alongside Bernthal as Frank Castle…I look forward to watching Ben, Ebon and Amber embody these characters and breathe vivid life into the story we are crafting for this season of ‘Marvel’s The Punisher.’

Executive producer and Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb was likewise enthusiastic, saying:

We couldn’t be more thrilled about the remarkable talent joining Jon Bernthal in ‘Marvel’s The Punisher.’ Ebon, Ben and Amber are incredibly talented actors and we can’t wait to see them bring these characters to life.
