Shadowhunters’ Maia Roberts Has Finally Been Cast!

Right after the main cast of Shadowhunters was announced (I’ll never forget the day I found out the lovely Katherine McNamara was announced to play Clary *sighs*), everyone wanted to know who would be playing the werewolf, Maia Roberts. Well, we finally have our answer.

24 hours before the announcement, the Shadowhunters‘ social media teased a major cast member would be revealed using neat gifs/videos. Those 24 hours passed and we got our Maia Roberts!

Maia Roberts is not only a bartender at the Hunters Moon, she’s also a new werewolf to Luke’s pack! “Meet the newest member of the pack,” the cool gif read on the show’s Twitter and Facebook.

From the joyous tweets and posts of the fans, Maia Roberts has always been a favorite to many. I personally welcome Alisha Wainwright’s portrayal as Maia with open arms. I am all for having more badass female characters on this show! Who else is curious how they’ll portray the newest werewolf on the show?
