Parminder Nagra Joins ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ For S4

Another new recurring character has been announced for season 4 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – and she’s played by a familiar face: Parminder Nagra, of The Blacklist and ER fame.

According to Marvel, Nagra will play “a powerful political figure who is outspoken in her distrust of Inhumans and the threat they pose to society.”

This as-yet unnamed political character joins Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider, a new Director, and the mysterious Lucy as new folk we know about for the upcoming season. It should definitely be interesting to see how they all interact with our returning cast of characters – and whether Nagra’s mistrustful figure could be persuaded to give certain Inhumans a second chance.

We’ll find out more when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns starting September 20 at 10pm on ABC.
