Lennie James cast in Blade Runner sequel

lennie james the walking dead to join blade runner sequelBritish actor Lennie James is currently in talks to join the sequel to Blade Runner, according to a report by Variety. James has been known for his role as Morgan Jones in The Walking Dead.

Harrison Ford will be reprising his role as Rick Deckard, the main character of the 1982 original film. The sequel will also star Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Barkhad Abdi, David Dastmalchian, Hiam Abbass, Dave Bautista, and Mackenzie Davis, and will be directed by Denis Villeneuve (Sicario). Variety adds that the sequel will be written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green. The story will be set several decades after the original Blade Runner, written by Fancher and David Peoples and based on Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. No other details have been revealed about the project so far.

The Blade Runner sequel is set to be released on October 6, 2017.
