Marvel Unveils All-New Trailer for ‘Doctor Strange’

doctor strange poster2016 isn’t over for Marvel Studios just yet, as Doctor Strange hits theaters this Fall. Marvel didn’t pass up the opportunity to drop a brand new trailer and poster (seen right) for the upcoming film, which will serve as an origin story for the character, at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Written and directed by Scott Derrickson (Sinister), Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) in the titular role, as well as Rachel McAdams (True Detective), Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal), Tilda Swinton (Hail, Caesar!), and Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave). While the first trailer for Doctor Strange served well as a teaser, it did not show us much of Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange in costume or footage of him performing any magic whatsoever. Marvel’s latest trailer changes that and provides fans with plenty of the comic book action and magic we’ll expect to see in theaters this Fall.

The trailer sees Strange and Ejiofor’s Baron Karl Mordo leaping into action in a battle against Mikkelsen’s Kaecilius, the film’s main antagonist and fellow magician gone bad who seems to have a thing for altering reality and folding buildings onto themselves.

Doctor Strange is set to release in theaters November 4. Check out the official second trailer for the film below and feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments.
