New info on Fear the Walking Dead season 2

Fear the Walking Dead season 2 promoPhotos, posters, and details have been released about the upcoming episodes of Fear the Walking Dead.

Fear the Walking Dead will be returning for eight more episodes in August, after ending with a thrilling mid-season finale that saw the main characters scattered in different directions.

Showrunner Dave Erickson told EW:

“The big question for the back half [of season 2] is when and how will the family reunite?…The interesting thing will be watching them splinter off in multiple directions and seeing how each group can survive and what they do to find their place in the apocalypse.”

To promote the second season of the show, a few new photos and a new poster were released by AMC, according to EW. One photo shows a horde of walkers making their way across a field, and there are two photos of Nick (Frank Dillane) in a bloodied t-shirt. One has him somehow re-enacting the iconic photo of Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead as he traverses an abandoned highway.

Fear the Walking Dead NickSpeaking about Nick’s character, Erickson said:

“For Nick, he wants to find a place where people see the dead the way he does, where people see the dead not as a threat, not as a danger, but as an extension of themselves – sort of an evolution. That’s his goal. So, when he leaves, when he realizes Celia’s gone, and the compound is burned, he’s going to set out to find people who are more likeminded and will give him some clues along the way. And then it sort of falls into the be-careful-what-you-wish-for category. When he actually gets to a place with some degree of spiritual comfort for him. It’s not going to last very long.”

The cast and producers of Fear the Walking Dead will have a panel on Friday, July 22 at 12:00 p.m. PT in Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center. Fans of the show will also be able to board a recreation of the yacht “Abigail” on Fifth Avenue Pier, just behind the Convention Center.

Fear the Walking Dead season 2 will resume on August 21 on AMC.
